At the feet of Gibralfaro
Malaga's eyes open.
They are the eyes of a princess:
Strong, Nazarí, Brave.
It wakes up every century, every day.
And in the night of the times
the moon sleeps in its lap
It is a privilege to be able to hold a meeting in a heritage enclave such as the Alcazaba, essence of the Medieval and Islamic past of Malaga. The palace-fortress, built mostly during the 11th century, is an impressive sample of the Nazarí art in an extraordinary state of preservation. Nowadays, the Alcazaba of Malaga maintains its noble elegance upright; firm and serene it rises from the side of the mountain of Gibralfaro as an spectacular watchtower from which one can enjoy the best panoramic views of the city.
