The Costa del Sol Convention Bureau, a specialized department within the Costa del Sol Provincial Tourist Board, is responsible for the promotion and marketing of meetings and conventions. With the aim of improving the quality of its services in all its spheres of activity, the Convention Bureau has decided to continuously implement, maintain and improve a Quality Management System for the tourist promotion services, under the UNE STANDARD 187005:2009 "REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROVISION OF SERVICES". Its purpose is to meet the needs and expectations of their clients. This process represents an activity system with four stages: to obtain, store, process and transmit the information.
Likewise, the Costa del Sol Convention Bureau believes such Quality Standard is a management tool that allows the assurance of the fundamental aspects of the service delivery process. Thus, the Convention Bureau has an active commitment to the continuous improvement of the services it provides on a daily basis to its different users and partners, as well as to the quality enhancement of the promotional information provided to them during trips to attract clients.
The Management of the Costa del Sol Provincial Tourist Board believes that guaranteeing the compliance of the applicable legislation is a fundamental tenet. Also essential in communicating at all levels is the handling of complaints and suggestions of the recipient of their services and the promotion of the involvement of the entire staff and clients in enhancements trough training and awareness mechanisms.
The Costa del Sol Provincial Tourist Board will periodically define, establish and assess the quality goals of its Convention Bureau to ensure they are appropriate to the Bureau's organization.
All the staff of the Convention Bureau, as well as its providers, clients and any person who might, directly or indirectly, influence the provision of services, will be informed of this policy. It will also be available to the public, its users and all the parties involved, and will be revised periodically to ensure its continuous suitability.
